Welcome to TeleDoctor. By using our telemedicine platform and services, including those provided by the TeleDoctor Facilitation Center (TFC), Care Giver and Health Workers, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Definitions

  • TeleDoctor: The telemedicine platform enabling communication between patients and registered medical practitioners (RMPs).
  • TeleDoctor Caregiver Facilitation Center (TCFC): Any local facility that provides a place for facilitating patient-doctor connections and teleconsultation services.
  • Care Giver: A family member or authorized person representing the patient during consultation.
  • Health Worker: Qualified person like nurse or paramedical worker assisting the consultation.
  • User: Any individual accessing the platform.
  • RMP: Registered Medical Practitioner providing consultation as per applicable laws.
  • Services: Telemedicine consultation and facilitation services.
  • Platform: IT infrastructure connecting patients, doctors, pharmacies, labs and clinics.
  • Clinic: A healthcare facility providing medical treatment.
  • Pharmacy: Licensed place where medicines and drugs are prepared and sold.
  • Lab: Facility analyzing medical samples for diagnosis.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • If under 18, a parent or guardian must supervise platform use.
  • You must provide accurate and updated registration information.

Scope of Services

TeleDoctor provides telemedicine services to connect patients with RMPs for consultations.

  • TFC facilitates patient-doctor interactions, manages appointments, and supports technical operations when requested
  • The platform enables audio, video, or text-based consultations as per the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Responsibilities of Users

For Patients

  • Provide accurate health information and complete medical, surgical, family history, allergies, and adverse events to the doctor.
  • Understand fully the limitations and risks of telemedicine services compared to physical consultations.
  • TeleDoctor services are not suitable for acute or emergency care situations. Users are advised to seek immediate physical consultation for such cases.
  • Ensure timely payment for services availed through the platform.
  • Agree not to engage in prohibited activities such as transmitting harmful content, engaging in fraudulent activities, or violating applicable laws.

For Doctors

  • Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) with the government.
  • Must comply with all applicable medical and ethical guidelines of the government.
  • Must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.

Role of TeleDoctor Facilitation Center(TFC)

  • The TFC assists in scheduling consultations, managing communication, and resolving technical issues..
  • TFC does not provide medical advice or services and acts solely as a facilitator.
  • TFC will assist by providing Care Givers or Health Workers to assist the RMP for better understanding by communicating with the patient.

Limitations of Telemedicine

  • Telemedicine services are not a substitute for emergency medical care.
  • The diagnosis and advice provided are based on the information shared by the patient.
  • Physical examination may be required in some cases, which cannot be conducted through the platform

Payment and Refund Policy

  • Fees for consultations are displayed on the platform and must be paid as per the chosen service.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed as per the platform's Refund Policy.

Privacy and Data Protection

TeleDoctor is committed to protecting your privacy. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

  • All personal and health data shared on the platform will be handled securely and confidentially.
  • Data may be shared with Pharmacies, Labs, TeleDoctor Facilitation Centers (TFC), and Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) solely for providing the requested services.

User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Misuse the platform for illegal or unethical purposes.
  • Share false or misleading health information.
  • Harass, abuse, or disrespect any individual on the platform.
  • Failure to comply with these conditions may result in termination of access to the platform.

Liability Disclaimer

  • TeleDoctor and TeleDoctor Facilitation Centers (TFC) are not liable for any medical negligence or malpractice by Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs).
  • TeleDoctor is not responsible for interruptions or technical failures beyond its control.
  • TeleDoctor is not liable for any interruptions or errors in the platform's functionality or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. All services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
  • Users acknowledge that medical outcomes depend on various factors and cannot be guaranteed.

Third-Party Services

The platform may include third-party integrations such as payment processing, lab tests, pharmacies, transport services, and more.

  • Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies, terms, and conditions of these third-party services before using them.
  • TeleDoctor is not responsible for the content or services provided by third-party websites or integrations linked through the platform.
  • Users access and use third-party services at their own risk.

We aim to address grievances within 30 days.

Modifications to Terms

TeleDoctor reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be updated in the platform. Users must update themselves modified terms and conditions through the platform itself. Continued use after platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms and conditions.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India.

Disputes will be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration, before resorting to litigation.

Indemnification Clause

Users agree to indemnify TeleDoctor, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their misuse of the platform or violation of the Terms & Conditions.

Termination

TeleDoctor reserve the right to suspend or terminate a user's access to the platform at its discretion, without prior notice, for violations of the Terms & Conditions or other policies.
